To the Beloved, Update from March 24th

Our study continued in Matthew 4: 12-16 AMP, 12Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested and put in prison, He withdrew into Galilee.     13And leaving Nazareth, He went and dwelt in Capernaum by the sea, in the country of Zebulun and Naphtali--     14That what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be brought to pass:     15The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, in the [a]way to the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles [of the [b]peoples who are not of Israel]--     16The people who sat [c](dwelt enveloped) in darkness have seen a great Light, and for those who sat in the land and shadow of death Light has dawned.
This led us to the passage in Mark 1:15 AMP, 15And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ([a]have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).
The point of our lesion was the fact that we have to repent and believe.  We must not just think upon this lightly but really think about the act of repentance, is to change one’s mind and then believe in the finished work of Jesus, on the cross.
We learned that in 1John 4:10 AMP, 10In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.
So, it is not that we love God enough, in ourselves, we can’t, but God loved us.   By Law is the knowledge of sin.   Mark 12:30-31, KJV, 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.  31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Here we see even the best of us, even David, could not measure up to this but God Sent Jesus to be our atoning sacrifice once and for all. So we see:
Law condemns the best of us.
Grace saves the worst of us.
The Law demands righteousness from  men.
Grace imparts righteousness to men.
Under Law, God says take your shoes off for I am Holy. (Exodus 3:5)
Under Grace, (Luke 15) Put shoes on his (your) feet, You are with your Daddy (Abba Father).

We looked back at the last chapter of Genesis 50:14-17, AMP, 15When Joseph's brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Perhaps now Joseph will hate us and will pay us back for all the evil we did to him.     16And they sent a messenger to Joseph, saying, your father commanded before he died, saying,     17So shall you say to Joseph: Forgive (take up and away all resentment and all claim to requital concerning), I pray you now, the trespass of your brothers and their sin, for they did evil to you. Now, we pray you, forgive the trespass of the servants of your father's God. And Joseph wept when they spoke thus to him.
The brothers were taken care of for many years by Joseph.  They had seen him provide for their households, they were fed, clothed and all due to Joseph’s generosity.  They had been in Egypt many years, but when their father had died, they said Joseph might exact his vengeance on us.  They had believed in forgiveness, yet their idea of forgiveness is, yes he forgives but now he will also punish.

Is it possible that, Today, Jesus earthly brothers are thinking this way.  Do we understand the far reaching effect of God’s love.  Can this be happening to any of us?  Do we believe that God has forgiven us, but there is still justice that must be paid?  Beloved, the full wrath of God was poured out into the body of Jesus, on the cross.

Remember the verse Matthew 8:20, KJV, And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
The Greek word for lay is Klino.  The same word is use in John19:30 for bowed, KJV, 30When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

When HE said it is finished and Klino (bowed) His head. He finally found rest for His head, in bringing us into the kingdom. Hebrews 1:3b KJV, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

1 John 4:17, AMP,  17In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.

As Jesus is today, so are we in this world. AMEN.
May Grace and Peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our loving Lord and Savior! 2. Peter 1:2.

To the Beloved, Update from March 17th

There was truly an outpouring of the Holy Spirit this past Saturday and we went through alot of passages.  Please continue to pray that God will continue to revel more of Jesus person to us as we study His word

Our Study in Matthew continued, with chapter 4:1-10.
There was a quick review of Matthew 3:16-17 AMP 6And when Jesus was baptized, He went up at once out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he [John] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him.     17And behold, a voice from heaven said,  This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I delight!
Here we saw all Three Persons of the Trinity were present at the same time.  And God the Father speaking that Jesus was the Beloved, Our long awaited Savior.

Remember our study back in Matthew 1:21 KJV, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now back to our Study and hold on because we have lots so passages that the Holy Spirit has revealed to us.

Matthew 4:1-4 KJV   1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.  2And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.  4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
What was the first thing that the tempter (the accuser left out)?  It is the same thing that he leaves out when he comes to us.  Yes, you have it, BELOVED, You are God’s Beloved, and as long as you point him back to the cross and the Blood of Jesus ( John 1:29, KJV, The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.)

John 1:36 KJV, And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Revelation 7:17 KJV, For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

This kind of misquoting of God’s written word started in Genesis 3:1-6, ASV, 1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of any tree of the garden?  2 And the woman said unto the serpent, Of the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat:  3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  5 for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil.  6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.

Notice that not only did the serpent misquote the Word of God but Eve, misquoted what God had said, in Gen 2:16-17 AMP, And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;     17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. Nothing was said of touching, the fruit.
Deuteronomy 4:2 KJV, Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Let’s get back to what is really being said to Jesus.  The devil told Jesus to turn the stones into bread.  He was saying get you nourishment from the Law of Moses, The Ten Commandments. Imagine telling the BREAD of Life to turn stones into bread.  Deuteronomy 8:3 AMP, 3And He humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you recognize and personally know that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
Matthew 4:5-6 AMP,  5Then the devil took Him into the holy city and placed Him on [a]a turret (pinnacle, [b]gable) of the temple [c]sanctuary.    6And he said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, He will give His angels charge over you, and they will bear you up on their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Here again, the accuser leaves out , Beloved and also, leaves out from Psalm 91:1-11, to keep you in all your ways…He is trying to get Jesus to bypass the cross, and perform a great sign for the people.  But that was not God’s plan.  God has made a way for us to be accepted in the Beloved, by the blood of Jesus.
Jesus addressed this in John 10:7-10 KJV, Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.  8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.  9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.  10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
And in John 12:27 AMP, Now My soul is troubled and distressed, and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour [of trial and agony]? But it was for this very purpose that I have come to this hour [that I might undergo it].
Jesus replies in Matthew 4:7 KJV, 7Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.  Which can be found in Deut 6:16 KJV, 16Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
Now the last test and Jesus response, in Matthew 4: 8-10 KJV,  8Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;  9And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.  10Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Jesus, the Word of God, (John 1:14 KJV , 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.) responses with the written Word, in Deuteronomy 6:13 AMP, 13You shall [reverently] fear the Lord your God and serve Him and swear by His name [and presence].

Also, we discussed the garden of Gethsemane, Matt 26:36-46; Mark 14:32-42 and Luke 22:39-46, was where Jesus went to pray three times, where HIS sweat was as blood.

Mark Beam continued the discussion of this passage with revelations that He had received.
And he referred to Exodus 20 (the Ten Commandments) was written by the finger of God.  Then he also brought up the following scriptures:

Hebrews 8: 10-12 KJV, 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:  11And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.  12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:  32Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:  33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.  34And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

John 1:16-17 KJV, 16And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.  17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

John 6:45 KJV, 45It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

John 6: 33-41 KJV, 33For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.  34Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.  35And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.  36But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.  37All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.  38For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.  39And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.  40And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

And  John 6:53-58 KJV, Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.  58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live forever.

May Grace and Peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our loving Lord and Savior! 2. Peter 1:2.

How God sees you, Beloved!

Remember this Truth:  See the Photo in the Bible.  The Photo is you, but when God sees you, He sees the finished work of Jesus and the Blood of His cross.  So we are made Righteous by the Blood and accepted in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:6 (KJV) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Hebrews 8: 7-13 AMP  7For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one or an attempt to institute another one.
8However, He finds fault with them [showing its inadequacy] when He says, Behold, the days will come, says the Lord, when I will make and ratify a new covenant or agreement with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
9It will not be like the covenant that I made with their forefathers on the day when I grasped them by the hand to help and relieve them and to lead them out from the land of Egypt, for they did not abide in My agreement with them, and so I withdrew My favor and disregarded them, says the Lord.
10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
11And it will nevermore be necessary for each one to teach his neighbor and his fellow citizen or each one his brother, saying, Know (perceive, have knowledge of, and get acquainted by experience with) the Lord, for all will know Me, from the smallest to the greatest of them.
12For I will be merciful and gracious toward their sins and I will remember their deeds of unrighteousness no more.
13When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether.

March 10th Truths

March 10th
Wow, What an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Saturday. We GATHERED  together to talk about the FINISHED work of Jesus, at the cross, where everything was poured out for you and me.  We were sharing how God is working in our lives, since we are under GRACE and not Law.
Remember, That God found fault with the Law. See Hebrews 8:7-10 AMP 7For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one or an attempt to institute another one.
The first covenant was between God and the people, and God calls this the ministration of death and condemnation. This is found in 2 Corinthians 3: 7-10 AMP  Now if the dispensation of death engraved in letters on stone [the ministration of the Law], was inaugurated with such glory and splendor that the Israelites were not able to look steadily at the face of Moses because of its brilliance, [a glory] that was to fade and pass away,     8Why should not the dispensation of the Spirit [this spiritual [b]ministry whose task it is to cause men to obtain and be governed by the Holy Spirit] be attended with much greater and more splendid glory?     9For if the service that condemns [the ministration of doom] had glory, how infinitely more abounding in splendor and glory must be the service that makes righteous [the ministry that produces and fosters righteous living and right standing with God]!     10Indeed, in view of this fact, what once had splendor [[c]the glory of the Law in the face of Moses] has come to have no splendor at all, because of the overwhelming glory that exceeds and excels it [[d]the glory of the Gospel in the face of Jesus Christ].

But God so loved us that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

So, God shows us that this new covenant is between God the Father and God the Son.  Man was the weak link, so God took man out of the picture.   And now when God sees us, he sees the finished work of Jesus through the Blood of the cross.

Romans 5: 8- 10 AMP  But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.     9Therefore, since we are now justified ([f]acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.    10For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin's dominion) through His [[g]resurrection] life.

So, as Mom was sharing about John 9:31 AMP  We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and a worshiper of Him and does His will, He listens to him.

We do not need anyone to lay hands on us, or pray for us.  We just need to pray and stand in faith that God HAS made us accepted in the Beloved.  Ephesians 1:4-13 AMP 4Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.     5For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [[b]because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]--     6[So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.     7In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,     8Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence),     9Making known to us the mystery (secret) of His will (of His plan, of His purpose). [And it is this:] In accordance with His good pleasure (His merciful intention) which He had previously purposed and set forth in [c]Him,     10[He planned] for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unify all things and head them up and consummate them in Christ, [both] things in heaven and things on the earth.     11In Him we also were made [God's] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will,     12So that we who first hoped in Christ [who first put our confidence in Him have been destined and appointed to] live for the praise of His glory!     13In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.

Remember, Romans 4:13 AMP 13For the promise to Abraham or his posterity, that he should inherit the world, did not come through [observing the commands of] the Law but through the righteousness of faith.

So we received from God a revelation:
1.      There is nothing wrong with God.
2.      There is nothing wrong with His Word.
3.      And, There is, by the Blood of Jesus, there is nothing wrong with you!

Remember Jack and Mom were doing the puzzle this past week.   Then Jack dumped the pieces out. And Mom asks Jack, “How are you going to put the puzzle back.” And Jack says, “Ann Henkle, All I have to do is put Jesus in the middle, and all the pieces will fall into place.”
We can learn a lot from children.

May Grace and Peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our loving Lord and Savior! 2. Peter 1:2.

March 10 Update

I am excited to see how God will minister to all of us though His written Word and His Holy Spirit.  I am putting the finishing touches on what Gods is revealing about  our righteousness that made us accepted in the beloved (Eph 1:6).

Our Study So Far

Our study starts in Matthew.  However, God is trying to teach us to put all our hopes in the finished work of Jesus Christ.  We are learning to trust that this is a completed work of GRACE.   In John 19:30 (KJV), we find:  “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, ‘It is finished:’ and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV).
1 John 4:17 says”as he is, so are we in this world.”  And when the Holy Spirit see us taking this stand then HE confirms it with signs and wonders, as the Word goes forth. And according to the faith we have in the Word of God, grace is imparted to the same level so that we are changed.   In 2 Corinthians 3:18 in the Amplified Bible says “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit”

Matthew 3:13 (KJV)  Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

The place where John was baptizing in John 1:28 (KJV) says “These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. Bethabara means” the house of passage”, And , Who is our House of passage, Jesus Christ. This was the same place where Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan.

Why would this be something we would need to know?

Well, glad you ask.

Isn’t it like God to lead his people to a place where we have to trust in HIM only so we know it is All HIM .  If you read in Joshua 3, you find that it was at a time when the Jordan had overflowed its banks…To the human eye this was the worst possible time, but as Mark 10:27 states “With men [it is] impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” .  So, we see in Joshua 3:11, the ark is passing over the Jordan. The ark represents the person of Jesus, the gold His person and His glory and the mercy seat the Blood of the new covenant. And as soon as the priest feet touch the Jordan, the waters are backed up all the way to a city, called Adam (verse 16). Which we know that Jesus completed work on the cross, by means of the Blood of His cross has reconciled us to God. So that we may be the Righteousness of God, as in Romans 5:17-21 AMP, “17For if because of one man's trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).     18Well then, as one man's trespass [one man's false step and falling away led] to condemnation for all men, so one Man's act of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and right standing with God and life for all men.     19For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, [k]heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him).     20But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God's unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,     21So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord.”

So, the baptism here is the place where Jesus took our place. We could not keep the Law of Moses.  As you remember, John 1:17 (KJV) says “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.  So Grace is the person of Jesus Christ.

So God intervned as it says in Colossians 1:20 AMP 20And God purposed that through ([a]by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled [b]back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross.

So, then Jordan represents for us the place of the cross, (condemnation, sickness, death and the curse, so that we can cross over into the Blessing of Grace (Resurrection life). We saw in the illustration of the picture in the Bible. When God see us NOW, He sees no sin, only the blood of his son. That verse was in Romans 6:3 - 6 AMP 3Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?     4We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.     5For if we have become one with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be [one with Him in sharing] His resurrection [by a new life lived for God].     6We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our loving Lord and Savior! 2. Peter 1:2.
